Change in waitlist policy

I want to let you know about two important changes in our waitlist policy.

To help us better judge course demand, we are no longer allowing two common registration practices that have made registration inefficient.

These changes are effective for fall 2013 registration:

• Students who are already registered for a course will not be able to place themselves on a waitlist for a different section of that course.
• Students will not be able to place themselves on a waitlist for more than one section of the same course.

Our goal is to make it easier for you get the classes you need when you need them, so you're able to make steady progress toward an on-time graduation.

These changes will allow us to have a more realistic picture of the seats available for classes to let us know when we need to create additional sections of a high-demand course.
