Dixie Thompson was named Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School on February 19, 2016.


In an effort to be the most transfer-friendly university in Tennessee, we are looking at how we admit transfer students and help them successfully transition to UT’s academic environment.


We saw great results this summer from Math Camp and SOAR, two programs aimed at helping students achieve academic success.


Now that we’ve reached the five-year mark in our Top 25 journey, it’s time to update our plan for the next five years. We want your input as we develop Vol Vision 2020.


This exciting new initiative will give our students more opportunities to engage in civic life, to solve complex real-world problems, and to contribute to the welfare of their communities as part of their course work.
