I am pleased to announce the new Lender Advisory Board and its membership. This Board will replace the current committee that has established the preferred lender list.

The Lender Advisory Board will be charged with developing our policies and making sure we are, and remain, in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. Its specific task will be to develop a written checklist based on the current selection philosophy of putting students' needs first. It will then proceed to use these objective criteria, as well as an evaluation of lender performance, to establish a list of preferred lenders. This list will be submitted to me and subject to my approval.

The following employees on the campus have agreed to serve on the Lender Advisory Board:

• Shanna Pendergrast, Graduate Student
• John Rader, Undergraduate Student
• Kay Reed, Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School
• Helen Sellers, Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid
• Richard Townsend, Professor, College of Business Administration
• Jennifer Vinson, Manager, Bursar's Office
