Welcome and Overview
Welcome to the faculty of the University of Tennessee!
As you settle into your position and make preparations for the upcoming academic year, please plan to participate in New Faculty Orientation on August 8-9, 2016 hosted by the Office of the Provost & Senior Vice Chancellor.
A critical component of serving as a faculty member at our institution involves helping students succeed. To fulfill this expectation, one needs to begin with a clear sense of the complete student experience. This orientation is designed to provide all participants with an overview of student life, as well as introduce faculty members whose positions include a research component to the University resources dedicated to support their scholarly and creative activity.
Please note that all new faculty are invited to attend an evening reception which will immediately follow the first day’s sessions. In the West Club of Neyland Stadium, participants will meet members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet and Provost’s executive staff, as well as mingle with their department heads and College administrators.
Please follow the link below to accept or decline our invitation to participate in New Faculty Orientation. Should you have any questions, please contact Heather Cockrum, Executive Assistant to the Provost (email@example.com).
Please e-mail Heather Cockrum to submit/change your RSVP.
