United at the Rock: February 20

The second annual United at the Rock event will be held on February 20, providing a time for our campus to come together in spirit and service. The event will begin at 3 p.m. with multicolor handprints on the Rock and a volunteer fair for students, faculty, and staff in Student Health Center Room 206AB. Opening remarks will take place at 4 pm. Closing remarks and special music will be at 5 p.m. The event is organized by Leadership Studies, the Center for Leadership and Service, Faculty Senate, the Campus Ministers Council, and the Student Government Association, with support from Athletics, the vice chancellor for diversity and engagement, and the School of Music.

Coffee and Conversation: March 5 and April 4

All faculty are invited to join the Office of the Provost team for coffee and conversation about timely matters and issues of concern. Dates for these events are Tuesday, March 5, and Thursday, April 4. Each will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Mary Greer Room of Hodges Library (Room 258).

Mic/Nite: March 13

The spring Mic/Nite is Wednesday, March 13, at the Relix Variety Theatre 1208 North Central Street. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and presentations start at 6:30.

Faculty Pub: March 14 and April 11

Future Faculty Pubs will be held on Thursday, March 14, and Thursday, April 11.

TLI Conference: April 8

Teaching and Learning Innovation will host its inaugural Innovative Teaching and Learning Conference April 8 in the Student Union. The conference highlights the importance of good teaching in higher education settings by featuring the innovative teaching practices that occur in college classrooms across Tennessee. Watch for a call for proposals for faculty to serve as presenters, as well as registration information.
