Update on Full-Time Lecturer Salaries

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to share that retroactive to February 1, 2021, we have raised the minimum salaries of full-time lecturers on the lowest end of our pay scale.

The minimum salary for full-time non-tenure-track faculty with terminal degrees is now $45,000. The minimum salary for full-time lecturers without terminal degrees is now $40,000. These increases represent a total recurring investment of more than $500,000. Over the past eighteen months, we have invested more than $700,000 in order to raise the minimum salaries of our non-tenure-track faculty.

This has been a challenging year for everyone, as we have learned how to live, work, and teach in a pandemic. Our non-tenure track faculty have been crucial in our ability to continue to offer a high-level of education to our students and keep them on track to graduate. The chancellor and I are grateful for their commitment to their students and to the university.

Faculty who are eligible for a salary increase will receive notification from my office.

Thank you, again, to all of our faculty for your dedication to our students and to the work of the university, especially during these difficult circumstances.

John Zomchick

Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor
