Campus Construction Update

During the master plan town hall on Wednesday, you will have an opportunity to see some of the substantial changes we are proposing in the interest of transforming the campus to meet the ambitious and worthwhile goals in our strategic vision. We understand that some of these changes will be disruptive. We also believe they will position us, in the short term and the long term, to provide the best opportunities to the university community and our many stakeholders.

With this in mind, we want to update you on ongoing efforts to assist departments and units that will move out of Dunford, Greve, and Henson Halls.

We are pleased to share that the Haslam College of Business has partnered with our Finance and Administration staff to consolidate its offices in Stokely Management Center. The consolidation will create space for academic units in the College of Arts and Sciences and for the College of Social Work. Finance and Administration staff will consult with the deans and faculty in those colleges on the potential to relocate to Stokely Management Center. We are grateful to the leadership and faculty from colleges and departments and to the Finance and Administration team for their collaborative spirit in finding appropriate campus quarters for our entire community.

In the next couple of weeks, the team in Finance and Administration will reach out to each affected academic and administrative unit to show relocation space and gather their input. We appreciate the patience and hard work of everyone involved and will continue to keep lines of communication open.

Collaboration and a willingness to help one another define who we are as Volunteers. We will work together through this transition and continue our great work to educate students, produce groundbreaking research, and serve our communities.
