This workshop, prepared by the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity and led by Dr. Mindi Thompson, renowned speaker and professor from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is designed specifically to help mid-career faculty overcome obstacles and move forward in their careers.
The Writing Your Next Chapter workshop will outline the most common issues mid-career faculty face and provide participants with strategies for identifying where they are stuck and how to move forward in their intellectual projects. Specifically, participants will:
- Learn the most common challenges mid-career faculty face
- Identify the specific technical errors, psychological obstacles, and external
challenges that are holding them back
- Create an individualized diagnostic plan to move forward
