The Division of Faculty Affairs is responsible for the recruitment, retention, evaluation, promotion, and professional development of all faculty. The division consists of Academic Personnel Services (APS) and Faculty Development and Advancement (FDA), which includes Teaching & Learning Innovation (TLI).
Mission
The mission of Academic Personnel Services is to support the appointment, retention, review, and promotion of all faculty throughout their careers at UTK and to serve as an expert resource to our campus partners.
Vision
Academic Personnel Services will collaborate with campus partners to innovate and refine processes and policies related to faculty affairs. Our goals are to:
- Empower, enable, and educate our campus partners to provide high quality service;
- Promote fair and equitable treatment of faculty;
- Support departments and colleges in the appointment, advancement, and retention of faculty.

Assistance
