Each faculty member is required to engage with their department head in an annual performance and planning review (APPR). Each faculty member’s APPR must proceed from guidelines and criteria contained in UT System Board of Trustees policy BT0006, the UTK Faculty Handbook, and all relevant bylaws.
Except as provided in section 184.108.40.206. of the UTK Faculty Handbook relating to tenured faculty members undergoing Enhanced Post-Tenure Performance Review (EPPR), every tenure-track faculty, tenured, full-time non-tenure track faculty member who is not on leave is reviewed annually.
