Department Heads
Methodology
We are striving to ensure the new UTK Faculty Handbook is upheld regarding the reappointment of department heads during their fifth year of service (1.4.6). The date of appointment includes interim year if one existed. Where heads are currently serving in an interim capacity, no appointment date is listed. If the academic unit was reorganized, the appointment date begins with the date the newly configured unit began to exist. Given the number of heads and directors in the College of Arts and Sciences, it is understood that they will require a two-year cycle to comply with the Faculty Handbook.
